I don’t even know where to start. This Lincolnshire wedding in Kirton Lindsey was a party from the very start. I had to reluctantly drag my self home to relieve my parents from their baby sitting duties.
Alice and Rhys are absolute legends. I genuinely didn’t want to leave. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by their young Labrador Rudy and the most adorable flower girl who never stopped smiling. Then I nipped across to Rhys who was getting ready with his groomsmen at The George . They sat around with hardly any clothes on for the majority of the time, whilst Rhys added the finishing touches to his speech.
The ceremony took place at St Andrews Church. Although photographs are not allowed from the front during the ceremony I was able to capture Alice and her grandad walking down the aisle together which was such a special moment. One I won’t forget in a hurry. I knew it meant the world to Alice.
The reception was back at Alice’s family home. A huge marquee adorned the back garden. Beautifully decorated, featuring Alice’s dads bike hanging in the middle. Such a lovely tribute.
The rain held off so we nipped across to Kirton Lindsey’s train station for some couple shots. We then headed back for the cake cutting and first dance, followed by the best party.
The dance floor was constantly full (happy DJ and photographer) and the leftover wine was being poured into plastic pint cups and downed by the groomsmen. Apparently this was a game. I was just enjoying the faces of disgust and gagging whilst they necked a beer, red and white wine concoction. Fortunate for the guests no one vomited (whilst I was there anyway).
Just the best bunch of people loving life in a marquee. Alice and Rhys, it was an absolute pleasure. Please do book me to photograph any future parties 😉 LOVED this Lincolnshire wedding!
