Covid-19

Firstly, hello! How are you? I hope you are keeping well and safe.

With the current crisis going on at the moment I have dedicated a FAQ specific to how my services might be affected with the Covid-19 pandemic. Please do get in touch if you have any questions or just want to chat about how your plans have been affected. I'm right here at the other end of the phone, and apart from home schooling my nine year old and playing referee to the toddlers I'd appreciate a chat with another adult ;)

COVID-19 FAQs

What happens if we need to postpone/ cancel our wedding

If you need to postpone your wedding date, either due to circumstances out of your control, or through choice don't panic. I'm working with couples on postponements. All I ask is that you check new dates with your suppliers before going forward with them. It might mean less 'prime' dates such as mid-week weddings whereby were all free. Keeping an open mind to this will ensure you can use all your suppliers you had originally booked.

What happens if you aren't available for our new date?

If we've tried every avenue and we can't seem to find a date suitable when I'm free, I am offering to send an associate photographer to shoot on my behalf. I will then be editing and delivering the images to you. If you would be happier not to do this then you are able to cancel my services at no further cost (so long as your wedding date is within the current lock down period).

Do we need to pay another deposit for our new date?

Simple answer, no. Due to the circumstances I am moving dates with no further payment required. Your balance will be due one month prior to your new wedding date.

What if you are ill with Covid-19 on our wedding date?

This is something I have to plan for with every wedding, all the time, year after year. Not just specific to the pandemic but as humans we can get ill and are unable to work. Having said that, it would normally take a severe illness for me to be unable to shoot a wedding. With the pandemic in mind, if I showed symptoms or I had been in close contact with someone with symptoms then I would regretfully be unable to shoot your wedding (as I'm sure you'd understand) In this circumstance a replacement photographer would be arranged to shoot your wedding as per usual protocol. I would still edit and deliver your final gallery.

Who is your associate photographer?

I use a select group of individuals who shoot very similar to myself. I prefer to use full time wedding photographers so I can't guarantee the individual until around 3 months before your wedding date. This is simply because in the wedding industry, full time photographers won't commit to shooting for one another until nearer the time. This is to leave our diaries open for our own bookings. Rest assured all associates I use, whether to fully shoot or assist me in a second photographer capacity, shoot very similar to myself AND are kind and friendly.
