This Doddington Hall Wedding of Olympic Gold Medalist Georgie Twigg and Iain Lewers was an absolute joy to photograph. After many months of waiting and four date changes due to the pandemic, Georgie and Iain were blessed with a belter of a day. It was mid September and it was scorching. The perfect day for the loveliest couple.
Georgie grew up around Doddington Hall. Her fond childhood memories and love of grounds made it the perfect place to host the couples special day. St Peters Church is the most beautiful and quaint church with the most fascinating stone work around the entrance way. After the ceremony the couple were covered in confetti with the longest line of guests I’ve seen to date. After a good dust off, they then made their way to a very relaxed drinks reception in the walled garden. This makes for the most beautiful backdrop. The sun shone and everywhere I looked I saw happy smiling faces. It’s on days like this that I do have to pinch myself. I am blessed with such a lovely ‘job’.
Afterwards, guests made their way to the marquee at the end of the gardens for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. After a confetti canon kicked off the first dance the couple partied the night away with their nearest and dearest.
This was my first Doddington Hall Wedding although I’ve visited many times with my children exploring the stunning grounds. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and were really lovely. If you’re planning a Doddington Hall Wedding and in need of a photographer please do get in touch. I’d love to hear your plans.
