This is my fourth Moot Hall wedding. I could shoot here EVERY weekend and not get bored. This village hall tucked away in the picturesque village of Holton Le Moor is an absolute beauty. What a party it provided for my best friends Hayley and Chris.

This wedding is one I’ll never forget . Not just because it was my dearest friend getting married but because this was one hell of a PARTY. I was in photographers heaven with all the drunken antics, most of which I can’t share online. If you’re interested in the crazy drunken shots pop me an email and I can sort you out 😉

Why did I photograph my best friends wedding?

Me and Hayley studied photography together many moons ago and after apparently ignoring her in town one day (I didn’t) we have been the best of friends since. You might think, why did I photograph my best friends wedding when I should have been a guest (and said yes to being a bridesmaid). The truth is I LOVE my job and genuinely have the best time photographing weddings. Yeah I was knackered by the evening but I’d have been equally as knackered if i’d been on the other side of the camera. Just take a look at the dance floor later on. EPIC.

DIY wedding decor

You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on wedding decor. You do need to plan ahead though if you’re intending on doing the styling without a professional. The couple worked tirelessly for over 18 months creating all the venue decor and table settings themselves. I feel I need to mention the brides mum here too as I know she helped massively. We love you Sue Kidd. Also, be prepared to take everything down the next day with a hangover 😉

Thank you

To Hayley and Chris, thank you for having me document your day. It really was a day I’ll never forget. Your first dance was a pinch myself moment and I cried like a baby! Partying to Erasure with the kids and THAT headbanger.

If you are planning a Moot Hall Wedding and would like to discuss your photography requirements in more detail please do get in touch.
