FAQs

Do you cover Bridal preparations?

The Full day package includes bridal preparations. I like to have a few hours with you before you leave prep, so I typically start two and a half hours before your ceremony.

How many images should I expect?

I get asked this alot, and to be honest it can be very different from each wedding to the next. I like to give a guide of around 400 but it totally depends on what you've got planned. If you have Groom preparation (second photographer needed) and its a summer wedding (ALL the daylight) and lawn games planned you could receive 900. It can differ that much.

Do you travel?

Yes! I love to travel. If your wedding is over 2 hours drive away I do ask for overnight stay to be covered for the night before. I don't like to risk any traffic delays on the day. Getting married abroad? Yes I travel overseas too. Please do get in touch as I love destination weddings.

How do you deliver the images?

You'll receive your images in two ways; an online password protected gallery where you can download the files in high resolution and share with family and friends. And you'll also receive a USB with all your files.

Do you delete the images after they've been delivered?

Simple answer, no. I really don't think its necessary to delete any images I've taken. Each year I buy hard drives to triple back up your files so that I don't have to delete the previous years weddings. I have had brides contact me in panic when they have lost their images so it has proved useful. Having said that, I do advice for you to make a hard copy as well as your USB just to be on the safe side.

How do we book you?

Just pop me an email or give me a call and we can go from there. I do require a (non refundable) retainer fee to secure your wedding date. I also have a booking form and contract you'll need to fill in to. If you live locally it'd be nice to meet up and chat about your day in more detail and I can show you the albums I offer to. If you live further afield then we can chat over the phone or we can even FaceTime.

Are you Insured?

Simple answer, yes. I can email a copy of my certificate across should you like to see this.

Whats your turnaround?

Peak wedding season is an 8 week turnaround. During quieter months the turnaround is usually quicker. If you need any earlier for thank you cards or for social media just let me know and I can get those to you within a week or so.

Do we need a second shooter?

If you'd like Groom preparations photographed or you have over 100 guests then I'd advice a need for a second shooter. I can't cover both preparations if the locations are further than 10 minutes apart because there simply isn't enough time. If you are both getting ready in the same hotel or very close by then its not a problem but can mean some moments might be missed like mum helping you in your dress or dad's reaction. You have to think about whats most important to you.

What if your camera breaks on the day?

I have 2 camera bodies and loads of lenses so plenty of back ups should this happen. I take great care of my equipment and service it regularly so no need to worry.

What if you're ill on the day?

It would take me to be seriously ill (like i've lost a limb or something) to not be able to shoot on your day. In the 10 years I've been photographing weddings I've never had this happen. Having said that, it does happen, and I'm a member of an emergency cover group where we offer our services to fellow photographers of a similar style. I also have lots of contacts in the industry should I need them.
