A beautiful Wootton Hall wedding in Autumn. Bringing all the flavours, colours, smells and textures of (arguably) the best season for a wedding. Think warmed apple cider, crunchy orange leaves, low golden sun, a gorgeous red virginia creeper and add in an unexpected 17 degrees heat.
Ottilie and David yearned for an Autumnal outdoor ceremony. We chatted about weather contingencies running up to the day but I knew come rain or shine these guys were getting married outside. It was mentioned that perhaps torrential rain might be the only thing to stop them. But they needn’t have worried as it was the most perfect, warm October day.
The Walled garden looked incredible. The warm peach, burnt orange and deep purples in the flowers lining the aisle worked so well. The sun leaking into my lens throughout the ceremony was an absolute dream because in the cooler months the sun is a lot lower and softer. Theres less harsh shadows and more golden goodness. Am I selling Autumn to you yet?
If you have landed on my blog post because you’re planning a Wootton Hall wedding in Autumn you are in for a treat. The Virginia creeper at the front of the Hall is an absolute belter! It really does take your breath away. David and Ottilie had their drinks reception in front of the Hall which worked beautifully as a backdrop to their confetti line. It also flowed into the father of the bride speech on the steps, just before the wedding breakfast. Guests then headed across to the beautifully dressed Barn for the reception.
