Ross and Claire’s was my first East Riddlesden Hall Wedding. What a venue. Such beautiful grounds and the hall itself is so full of romance. The perfect setting.
I arrived at Claire’s parents to bridesmaids leaving. Were they heading to the hairdressers I wondered. Nope. Matalan. For VPL free underwear. Instantly I knew they were going to be a giggle. It’s the first time I’d experienced a bridesmaid accidentally peeing on her dress, and having it hair-dried by another bridesmaid. What a squad!
Claire’s transport to East Riddlesden Hall was in Ross’s Uncles Rolls Royce. Seriously! If Carlsberg made Uncles!! What a guy. I’m not a massive car person but even I appreciated its beauty.
Claire followed her bridesmaids and pageboys down the aisle to meet Ross. Apparently there are two set ups for the ceremony at East Riddlesden Hall. This set tup was looking out onto the lake through the grand wooden doors. The light lit the couple perfectly as they said their vows to one another.
The couple made their exit through confetti and had drinks and canapés in front of the lake. We then made our way to the gardens and guests enjoyed the stunning scenery whilst we took some family portraits. We then headed back to the Hall for the speeches and wedding breakfast. Just keep your eyes peeled for a glimpse of Pat Sharp who recorded a special message for Ross. I’ll give you a clue. It was in one of the speeches. A man crush from Ross’s childhood from what I gather. I was impressed by this Best Man’s efforts. Pat Sharp you legend!
Anyway I often find I ramble when I recall my own memories from the day. I guess a few words help to accompany the photographs though. I’ll try to hunt out some suppliers from the day as the food was out of this world. I don’t always get fed as I’m one of THOSE vegetarians. But when I’m offered, and it’s epic, I should give them a shout out. So I’ll try get those details too as up to press I’ve only linked to Pat Sharp. Supplier shout out fail.
If you worked with me on this wedding please do get in touch and I’ll pop you a credit in.
